As racism and hatred toward Asian Americans has risen over the past year, so has awareness for the need to be more intentional about fostering inclusion for Asian Americans in the workplace. Approximately 17% of professional staff in public accounting are of Asian/Pacific Island descent compared to roughly 6% of the US population. As a result, the Asian voice is often minimized in D&I efforts because of the perception of representation, which leads to assumptions about inclusion.
Join us for a conversation with Jeff Chin, a Founder and Inaugural President, and current Board Treasurer at Ascend, the largest non-profit Pan-Asian organization for business professionals in North America. In this session, we'll talk with Jeff about the challenges of Pan-Asians in the profession and offer suggestions on what we all can do to be more inclusive of our Pan-Asian colleagues in the workplace. We hope you join the conversation!
